Children are at the critical stage of their mental and emotional development. Experiences and daily events imprint their minds and continue to form the fabric of their beliefs, creativity and unfortunately their perceived limitations. In certain behaviours, something as simple as someone saying something negative, or traumatic experience can shape the way they view the world. Like adults, children will use past experiences to distort the way they experience all future events. Although adults tend to be more effective at realising the inaccuracy of such distortions, many children lack both the experience and the resources to deal with the overwhelm it can create.
The difficulty for parents is recognising when their child needs help and what can be done about it.

Changes in mood, appetite, relationships and communication are often subtle signs. Some children can express their thoughts whilst others make mention of it and parents really have no way of quantifying the significance until it slaps them in the face. If you have found yourself saying “don’t worry about it” to your child often that may not be enough. There is a simple and effective way to shift a child’s limiting beliefs or anxiety.

Hypnosis for children is a very powerful and quick way to change thinking patterns. It effectively can eliminate limiting beliefs, change the emotion attached to past memories and create an unconscious belief and feeling that things are o.k. The reason why it is so useful is that children are fantastic at using their imagination and can easily be placed in a comfortable hypnotic trance. When in this state we can begin to change unwanted thoughts and feelings, resolving any past issues and move them to a bright, happy future.

You may be thinking what kind of things can Hypnosis be used for?  Hypnosis can be used in the treatment of Anxiety, depression, OCD, self-harm, phobia and removing limiting self-beliefs. I generally treat all ages from 8 years and up and it will not conflict with medication or other treatment options.
